Hi I'm Ayla. I am a 16-year-old student in Oregon. I started making jewelry from pre-made glass beads several years ago. Since then, my grandmother influenced my art by teaching me how to make my own glass beads and also how to create jewelry with fused glass. I like to experiment with glass, color and design and have discovered a talent for fusing glass. I have been a member of the Oregon Glass Guild since 2005.
All of the fused glass pieces in my website are handmade by me using full or tack fusing techniques. The chains and leather/suede ropes on these glass art masterpeices are hand selected by me. I then finish each necklace with a clasp that I feel completes it.
Every piece is one-of-a-kind and I love them all but I can't keep or wear them all, so they are now being sold to help support my college education.
I hope you will enjoy wearing these as much as I have enjoyed making them.
